Republic day will be celebrated with grandeur on January 26 at Sir M V Stadium . In a meeting presided over by Dy Commissioner Subodh Yadav on Thursday, various committees were formed to organise Republic Day celebrations. Schoolchildren, police parade squad, NCC students, Scouts and Guides, band-sets from schools and colleges and police band-sets will take part in the celebrations. Prizes will be given to best performing teams.

Those who have rendered yeoman service to the society will be recognised and honoured in the programme. Cultural programmes will be held at the stadium in the morning and at Nandi Rangamandira in the evening, as decided in the meeting.
