Former prime minister H D Deve Gowda who is known for his betrayals, duplicity and scheming politics would go any length to retain power, ridiculed former MP M Srinivas.

He was speaking at a BJP convention organised by the party workers in taluk’s Hebburu hobli, gram panchayat limits and said Gowda’s one point programme was that the power should always wrest with his family.

Gowda is least interested in the development of the State or the country. Hence, to make his son the chief minister he played all kinds of drama, he alleged.

BJP leader B Sureshgowda said, the former legislator of Kunigal constituency unable to stomach his popularity was levelling all kinds of allegations against him which was far from truth and had no basis.
