D Rama Rao popularly called Ramanna (64) passed away on Tuesday following a heart attack in Dommatmari village.

Ramanna leaves behind wife, two sons and a daughter. He was the president of Brahmin association, director of Gayathri Trust, secretary of Gummaghatta VSSN Cooperative Association, member of Dommatmari Gram Panchayat, Anjaneya Swami Educational Society secretary and also, Congress party leader.

Many people have condoled the death of Ramanna. Taluk Brahmin Association general secretary Subbanarasimha, director C Anandram, organising secretary Prasannamurthy, SSK Association president G S Dharampal, Zilla Panchayat former president Jampaiah, Picard Bank president Srinivasan, youth leader Venkatesh, GP president Anjaiah Narayan Ramakrishna Reddy, Venkatreddy and others attended the last rites held on Tuesday.
