NDA to work out common minimum programme  
The NDA constituents on Tuesday endorsed the leadership of BJP's prime ministerial candidate L K Advani and agreed to work out a common minimum programme to face the next Lok Sabha polls.
Centre upset, seeks outside help to curb WB bird flu  
Unhappy with the progress of culling operations and the further spread of the bird flu to two additional districts, the Centre on Tuesday decided to "supplement" the efforts of the state to contain the disease.

Not happy with India's efforts at ensuring child survival, the UNICEF on Tuesday said that the average annual rate of reduction of under-five mortality rate needs to double if the country is to fulfill its commitment for the welfare of its future citizens.

    There are reports that suggest extension of the President's Rule in Karnataka. Is that a right move or should the elections be held sooner?
