Wins presidential award
Senior Intelligence officer of Mangalore regional unit of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence P Vijayan has been chosen for the presidential award of appreciation certificate for specially distinguished record of service on the occasion of the Republic Day, 2008. According to a press release, Mr Vijayan hails from Karivellur village of Kannur district in Kerala and joined the service in 1981. He has worked in Mumbai, Bangalore, Trivandrum and Mangalore and also in the Consulate General of India in Dubai during 1996 to 2001, the release added.
