Students should utilise the facilities provided by the government and work for the welfare of the nation, said CRC Officer B Nagaraj.
Speaking after distributing the bicycles to VIII students on the occasion of Republic Day at a primary school in Hudukula, he said the government has implemented the project to ensure that children in rural areas should not be deprived of education. Students should utilise the project. Parents should not use the bicycles for any other purpose, instead they should send their children to the schools.
Community Education Co-ordinating Officer G K Nagaraj said students should also concentrate on the extra curricular activities along with academics. Each should preserve the language of the land and develop patriotism, he added.
Physical Education Director M Krishnappa, teacher Rajalakshmi, School Administration Improvement Committee President Vasudevaiah and others spoke on the occasion. Teacher R Nagaraj, Sampurna, Chandrakala and others were present on the occasion.
