Kannada Sene stages rail roko

District Kannada Sene members staged a rail roko in protest against injustice to Kannadigas in railway recruitments, in Kadur and Birur on Sunday.

The protestors stopped Kurla Express in Kadur for 20 minutes and shouted slogans against the Union Railway Minister Laloo Prasad Yadav. Later, they stopped Shimoga-Mysore train for 10 minutes at Birur railway station.

The protestors urged the Centre to provide classical status to Kannada and implement Mahajan Report.

H D Kumaraswamy Abhimanigala Sangha President Holadaggadde Girish, District Secretary Hemanth, Manjegowda, I K Lokesh and others participated.
