In a tragic incident a youth who was returning from a pilgrimage to Dharmasthala was run over by a private bus, here on Monday. Sira taluk Kotta village’s Mahalingappa (26) is the unfortunate victim. His friends and neighbours had gone to Dharmasthala in two private buses.

      While returning, they stopped for a cup of tea near SIT college bus stand.
Mahalingappa after having tea tried to enter the second bus when it moved and he was caught under its wheels and died on the spot. Tumkur West police station has registered a case.
