3 varsity VC probables rejected
Bangalore, dhns: The panel of three names short-listed for the vice-chancellorship of Mysore University by a search committee has been rejected by Governor Rameshwar Thakur.
According to sources, the search committee, headed by Dr S Chandrashekar Shetty, former vice-chancellor of RGHUS, has been directed by Governor Thakur to submit a fresh panel of names.
The committee had shortlisted the names of K S Rangappa, Director of Integrated Programmes, Department of Studies in Chemistry, Mysore University; Abdul Rahman, Professor of Biotechnology at Kuvempu University; and S Chandrashekar, Professor of History at Bangalore University.
