The Chinese ambassador in India Zhang Yan, spoke on the occasion and said that the Beijing Games were not only about China but related to Asia and the whole world.

He added that exhibition contributed to promote friendship between the two countries.  The olympic torch will pass through India in April. Union Minister of State for Planning, M V Rajashekaran said the two countries need to collaborate in the software, hardware and education sectors to become world leaders.
