Man killed on spot

Chintamani, dhns: In a strange incident a man lost his life owing to the threshing on Kaiwara-Mylapura road on Sunday night.

Chandrashekar (35) a priest at Kaiwara Yoginarayana ashram died on the spot when a tempo collided with the auto in which he was travelling.

Chandrashekar who was travelling to Chintamani from Kaiwara was hit by the tempo as one could see the other vehicle coming due to chaff which emerged from threshing of the ragi crop carried on the road.

Chandrashekar is survived by his wife and two small children. The rural police station has registered a complaint and investigations are being carried on.

High school boy missing

Chintamani, dhns: An  8th standard boy has been found missing from the ward no 31Timmasandra in the city.

Shiva Kumar, an 8th standard student in SRET school is missing from the past 5 days. “Shiva Kumar has not
returned to his house since five days. There is no clue of him as we have all ready searched his friends and relatives houses”, said Ramakrishnappa, Shiva Kumar’s father in a complaint given to the police.

City police have registered a case and further investigation regarding the case is on.
