A special Ambedkar diary for the year 2008, brought out by the Dr B R Ambedkar SC/ST Employees’ Association of the city’s HMT watch factory, was released here on Tuesday.

The special feature of this diary is that it features portraits of great personalities who influenced Dr B R Ambedkar - Maharshi Valmiki, Buddha, Basavanna, Jyotiba Phule, Babu Jagjuvanram, Tata Erattamalai Srinivasa, Shahumaharaj, and Tandai Periyar Narayan Guru.

Releasing the diary, Genaral Manager (Technical) D Ramanujam urged all the employees to work in unity.

Assistant Manager and Head (HR) Dr G Venkateshalu said that this initiative, aimed at spreading Ambedkar’s message, is commendable.

Employees’ Association President Shankarappa, General Secretary H M Ravish, Honorary President B G Krishnappa, and Finance Head Venkataramana Reddy, Production Head Raina, and Ramaswamy were also present.
