A mob thrashed former corporator of Ashwathanagar on Wednesday, accusing him of cheating them and selling  their property with fake documents.

According to the police, on Wednesday a large number of people dragged  Brahmendra Murthy (42) out of the residence and thrashed him. Four of his associates were also thrashed. Recently, some of the residents had received legal notices asking them to vacate the building. They suspected that Murthy was behind the whole episode.
