The thought that a man gets only one life to do all that he is supposed to and all that he desires, was propagated by many like Mitch Albom, Richard Bach et al.
However, very few understand and implement it.
Twenty-five-year-old Manu Shrivastava, who is a techie, has proved it right. He has recently launched a music album that was composed, produced and edited by him.
The profit from the sale of album will be donated to Samarthanam, a trust for the disabled.
A special moment
The music launch, that happened at Music World on Brigade Road, was a special moment for many — for Mudda, founder trusty of Samarthanam, to whom the amount donated will help in shaping the lives of many; for the singers, who made their debut in the album; and of course for Manu, who has touched the tip of his dream with this debut album.
Inspiration
The composer and also singer for a couple of songs in the album, Manu quoted an incident that inspired him to conceive this album.
He said, “When I approached one of the popular labels in Delhi, I was told that they have 800 CDs rotting on their racks and mine will be another one. He refused to listen to my music and said that I had to be famous for them to get associated with me.
“That was a reality check and I decided that even though the system is like that my dreams won’t depend on it. I will work on my own and make my dreams come true.”
“This is just the beginning,” he smiled.
