Struggle is necessary against the people who have become the obstacle for the development of Kannada language, opined Karnataka Rakshana Vedike Taluk Unit President R Vijaykumar. All Kannada organisations should support Karnataka Rakshana Vedike in this regard, he added.
Speaking after inaugurating the Karnataka Rakshana Vedike’s new unit at Halepalya layout, he said the aim of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike is the development of Kannada, Kannadiga, Karnataka. People who obstruct this may have pay a heavy price. It’s the responsibility of Kannadigas to ensure that Kannada language will be developed with out any problem, he added.
Respect for Kannada
Speaking on the occasion DYFPR Mahadevaiah said Kannadigas should develop respect for their language and non Kannadigas residing in the state should also respect the language of the State. This would help for having a good relationship with the people of other regions. Struggle for the development of Kannada should be held within the boundary of law, he added.
Dr Prahlad and Dr Ravikumar were felicitated on the occasion for their service to patients in the public hospital. Karnataka Rakshana Vedike Taluk Unit’s office-bearers Sridhar, Kumar Yadav, city municipal members Renuka Jayaram, Vishala Somashekhar, leaders Ramakrishnaiah Hema Raj Pundarika and Hemanth were present on the occasion. Ranganath welcomed the gathering and Tukaram compered the programme.
Cultural programmes were held on the occasion. Ramakrishnaiah unfurled the flag in the beginning of the function.
