Srinivas Patashala Association and Srinivasa Patashala Kannada Medium Oriental High School will celebrate its Diamond Jubilee celebrations along with the bi-decennial celebration of Nalanda English Medium School on January 3 at the school premises.

Addressing a news conference on Monday, Association Honourary Secretary Dr Mohan Pai said that the science exhibition organised as the part of the celebration will be inaugurated by K S Hegde Medical College Dean Prof Dr Shantharam Shetty at 10.30 am in presence of former MLA Krishna Palemar who will hand over the achievement awards to the students. Nalanda English Medium School Head Teacher Saraswathi Bhat, art teacher Om Prakash, dance teachers Ramani and Uma, office staff Mangala Pai will be felicitated on the occasion.

He said that a souvenir called ‘Call of Nalanda’ will be released during the stage programme in the afternoon in the presence of former MLA Yogish Bhat and others. Dr Pai informed that the school has been a blessing for thousands of poor children hailing from Kodagu, undivided Dakshina Kannada, Hassan and Chikmagalur districts as the school has imparted quality education to them.
