The condition of five-year-old Monisha was slightly better on Thursday and her breathing had also improved considerably, but not enough to wean her off the ventilator.
It’s more than 10 days since she was admitted in the MS Ramaiah Hospital after she survived the horrible trauma of alleged murder attempt by her mother and it’s almost a week since she was incubated and moved into the intensive care unit.
“We tried to wean her off the ventilator for some time but she suddenly developed a convulsion and we had to postpone it,” said Dr Karunakara BP, associate professor of paediatrics, MS Ramaiah Hospital on Thursday.
