DH News Service, Tumkur:
Coming down heavily on JD(S) that 'betrayed' BJP in transferring power, BJP leader and former president of Mysore Paper Mills B Suresh Gowda has called the party led by H D Deve Gowda a "broken family".

Speaking at the BJP party workers’ meet  at Kallupalya near Honnudike in Tumkur the BJP leader alleged that JD(S) is playing petty politics in the State.
“They don’t talk about development issues. They are always engaged in sowing the seeds of casteism,” Mr Suresh remarked about JD(S) legislators, adding, “Such people will be taught a life-time lesson in the forthcoming elections.”
CM’s visit
Former JD(S) legislator from Kunigal had promised to implement lift irrigation in the taluk if came to power. However, once elected, the legislator put no sincere efforts in implementing it, he said, asking, “What is the contribution of the legislator to the constituency.”
Former chief minister H D Kumarswamy visited Kunigal four times during his tenure. However, his visits did not benefit the constituency in any way, he commented.
S Mallikarjunaiah, MP, inaugurated the meet. Several JD(S) workers joined BJP on the occasion in Mr Suresh Gowda’s leadership. Kunigal BJP president Kumaraiah, district BJP Women’s morcha president Taradevi, leaders including Dasegowda, Ganganna, Mallesh and Ramachandrappa were present.
