Teachers should encourage extra-curricular activities among the students and its more important in this competitive world, said PWD Assistant Executive Engineer K V Ravishankar.
He was speaking at the annual day celebrations of the Chetana English School at Madhugiri.
Students should not attend classes in order to wail away their time but should take education seriously and give thought about their future. They should strive hard and figure out their areas of improvement.
Moreover, they should devise a routine as per their goals, observed Mr Ravishankar.
Student life is very precious and hence it needs to be aptly utilised.
Thus, the students should make their lives valuable through the realisation of their dreams, said Public Education Department education officer Mangala Gowramma.
Ability, self-confidence, concentration, competitive spirit is very important among the students, she added.
