Members of Janata Dal (Secular) staged a huge protest on Prichhard Road, protesting against the failures of the district administration on Thursday.

Hundreds of JD(S) members took part in the protest, under the leadership of JD(S) leader Bhaktavatsalam. The members alleged that the day-to-day administration had come to a halt. The district administration, taluk administration and the police officials were functioning as puppets under the hands of former MLAs. The members alleged that the KGF CMC commissioner should be transferred for having allowed the Ambedkar Bhavan and the library to the private people on lease. They also demanded the suspension of police officials who were now working properly. Members of the City Municipal Council Dayanand, Vijayakumar, Kulashekhar, H Venkataiah, Nizampasha, K C Murali and several workers took part in the protest.
