'JD (S) sure to return to power on its own'
DH News Service, Kolar:

JD (S) leader and former minister K M Krishna Reddy expressed confidence that the party was strong both in the State and at the district level and it was sure to come to power on its own.

He was speaking at a JD (S) leaders and party workers conference organised in the outskirts of the City  recently and said former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy had not betrayed the people of the State. He had in his 20 months period of power done lot of good to the people  and earned their appreciation and even now his efforts were etched in people’s minds, said Reddy.  nce, in the coming elections the party with Kumaraswamy in the lead will go to the people to seek votes keeping the people oriented schemes before them, he said.

It was only due to bickering in the BJP and other technical issues, power was not transferred to them, he added. Though there were minor issues in the party, it was not something that cannot be resolved. In fact when compared to other parties, there are no serious problems at all, he said. Kolar district has always favoured JD (S) and it has an history of giving 11 seats out of 12. In spite of some leaders quitting the party, by the time elections near, more leaders are likely to join the party, he said.

No decision has been taken regarding distribution of tickets and all decisions will be taken under a collective leadership, he said.

JD (S) district unit president and former legislator G K Venkatashiva Reddy who presided said, he did not lack political experience. Earlier also, he had the experience of being the youth JD (S) president, he added.  He would tour each and every village, hobli and taluk and try to organise the party.  There is no groupism in the district. He also promised to get former chief minister Kumaraswamy to each and every taluk.

Former minister and JD (S) leader Alangur Srinivas and district Cooperative union president Bylahalli M Govindegowda were conspicuous by their absence.

JD (S) general secretary R Dayanand, leaders B M Mubarak, Murandahalli Gopal, K B Gopalakrishna, M S Anand, and others also spoke.
