Bharatanatyam
Bangalore Lalithakala Parishath presents a Bharatanatyam performance by Megha R Krishna, disciple of Guru Gayathri Keshavan, on Friday, January 4 from 6:30 pm at Dr H N Kalakshetra, National College, Jayanagar.
Contemporary dance
Nritarutya will present ‘Prayog 3’ — Indian contemporary dance at Chowdiah Memorial Hall on January 4 from 6:45 pm onwards.
Classical presentation
A Bharatanatyam programme by Guru Revathi Narasimhan’s student, Vindhya B R, will be presented at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, January 9 by the Department of Kannada Culture as part of Yuva Saurabh at Nayana Auditorium on J C Road.
Kuchipudi
The IndianCouncil for Cultural Relations is presenting a Kuchipudi group dance by the Shambhavi School of Dance.
The dance will be choreographed by Vijayanthi Kashi, an ICCR empanelled dancer. The event will be held on January 4 at Yavanika State Youth Centre on Nrupathuga Rd, 6:30 pm onwards. Admission is free.
Dance festival
Samskruti is presenting a two-day dance festival featuring internationally acclaimed dancers on January 5 and 6 at ADA Rangamandira, J C Road. On January 5, there will be a Bharatanatyam performance by Rama Vaidyanathan at 6:15 pm followed by another Bharatanatyam performance by Navia Natarajan at 7:30 pm. On January 6, Anita Ratnam will present ‘Neelam...drowning in bliss’ (neo-Bharatam) at 6:15 pm followed by a Bharatanatyam performance at 7.30 pm.
Bala vedike
There will be a performance of Bharatanatyam under Bala Vedike programme by Shalmalee Suresh on January 6 at 2:30 pm at the Bal Bhavan, Cubbon Park.

Vocal music fest
Sri Rama Lalitha Kala Mandira and Neelambari present Sankranthi Music Festival 2008 at 5:30 pm from January 6 to 13 at Sri Rama Lalitha Kala Mandira concert hall, 9th Main Road, BSK II Stage. The performances include vocal duet by Rudrapatnam Brothers (R N Thyagarajan and R N Tharanathan) on January 6; vocal by Nisha Rajagopal on January 7. Vocal by Dilip Simha will take place on January 8.
