Duplication of entries in the voters’ list is a punishable offense, and voters should delete their names from the list of a particular polling station after they move from its limits, he advised.

He said, officers visiting houses for revision of electoral rolls find it difficult because the numbering of houses in old CMC areas has not been done properly. The administration has decided to put a sticker, from January 7 on each house along with the voters’ ID number, and name of the head of the family. The public can inform officers if there are any mistakes in the stickers, he said.
Sadiq said, intensive revision of poll rolls has been taken up in the limits of Uttarahalli, Varthur, Yelahanka and Anekal Assembly constituencies. Booth-level officers are visit houses for revision of electoral rolls and also to look into differences in sex ratio, mistakes, addition and deletion in the voters’ list. “In certain polling stations increase in number of voters is 100 per cent.
