Cold weather likely
Cold weather will continue for a few more days in Southern districts of the state, including Bangalore. Dr M B Raje Gowda, professor of Agrometeorology said, cold weather is continuing due to clouds entering  from Bay of Bengal.

Kolar, Tumkur and Bangalore districts may receive scanty rains.

Bangalore experienced mild drizzle on Friday evening. About 0.2 mm of rainfall was recorded at HAL Airport,
according to Meteorological Department.

Report submitted
The judicial committee, which was appointed to inquire the allegations against Bangalore University Education faculty dean Dr M S Talavar has submitted the report. A single-member committee of retired judge Ko Channabasappa submitted report on January 1.

The syndicate appointed the committee following complaints of misuse of office. The syndicate meeting scheduled for Saturday, is expected to take a decision on the report.

Tree visit today
Institute for Natural Resources Conservation, Education, Research and Training has organised a field visit to study an unique tree harbouring in Nandagudi, Hosakote taluk, on the outskirts of the city. The tree is said to be harbouring world’s largest number of bee-hives. A vehicle is scheduled to leave at 8 am. Call 9448482619.
