Milestone for yet another laugh riot

'Pandu, I Love You', is on its way to notch up a century...

Final Cut Productions is synonymous with comedies. Serials including ‘Papa Pandu’ and ‘Silli Lalli’ have enjoyed long runs of more than 1,000 episodes each. Now, ‘Pandu, I Love You’, another comedy is on its way to notch up a century.

The story of a man who is caught between the affections of his mother and his wife is laced with humour and sentiment in equal proportion. Unlike the earlier serials where the wife dominated the husband (‘Papa Pandu’) and her decisions landed the husband in trouble (‘Silli Lalli’), ‘Pandu I Love You’ shows an excess of affection towards the protagonist by both wife and mother. This excess love sometimes leads to comical situations.

Manjunath Hegde, Yashwant Bijoor, Sridhar, Shankar Rao, Venkatachala, Muni Janapada, Lakshmishri, Sunetra Pandit, Rohini Raghu, Arundhati Sharma, Sumati and others are part of the cast. The serial has M S Narasimha Murthy’s story and screenplay based on Sihi Kahi Chandru’s concept. Mahendra Chittibabu’s camerawork, V Manohar’s music and tight editing by K M Jagadish and Ashok Belawadi have added value to the serial.

Muni Janapada is the serial director. ‘Pandu I Love You’ is telecast at 7:30 pm on ETV Kannada, Monday to Friday.
