KSRTC gets a pat from Guv
Bangalore, DHNS: Governor Rameshwar Thakur has congratulated the staff and management of KSRTC for crossing Rs 1,000 crore turn over on January 4, 2008. At a review meeting held by him on Friday, Thakur appreciated the various initiatives taken by the KSRTC to augument the fleet, modernize the infrastructure and further enhance IT-enabled services in ticketing, reservation, recruitment. Thakur urged the staff and management to cross Rs 2,000 crore turn over soon. KSRTC Managing Director A P Joshi reported that for the current year, the corporation would cross Rs 1,333 crore target. He mentioned that during the current year over 1,600 new buses will be included in the corporation as against 1,263 buses inducted last year.
