The accused have been identified as Revanna, the president of KRV Vithal Nagar branch, Naveen, Raja, both associate secretaries, Girish, treasurer, Deepu, Giridhar and Nagesh, all organising secretaries.
According to the police, Sunil alias Palla (23), a resident of Rudrappa Garden, was murdered by the gang on December 31.
Sunil, an auto driver, was jailed for some time in connection with theft, extortion and attempt to murder cases. He had been released from jail recently.
After his release, jail, Sunil used to demand money from the accused. Whenever they failed to follow his instructions, he would threaten them with life. Therefore, they eliminated him on the night of December 31.
KRV denies links
KRV President Narayan Gowda has denied the accused belong to KRV. Neither they are the members of the KRV, nor do we have any relationship with them, he claimed.
