Dasharath Rao (35) ended his life by hanging at his Rajajinagar residence. Police said he had suffered loss in business. In Ulsoor, a 60-year-old man committed suicide near Someshwar temple. The reason is not known.
Mallika sent to jail
The 9th ACMM court on Friday remanded the serial cyanide killer Mallika to judicial custody till January 18. Mallika was later sent to the Central Prisons, Parappana Agrahara. “We had taken her into police custody till January 11. She did not reveal much regarding the murders. She developed some health problems due to stress and tension after we took her to the custody.

Wife killer held
KG Halli police arrested a man on charges of killing his wife. According to the police, Sadiq alias Sadiq Basha (35), Rashadnagar, KG Halli killed his wife Guljar Banu on January 1 by slitting her throat with a knife. He had murdered her suspecting her fidelity.
Suitcase lost, found!
A train passenger who had left his suitcase in a hurry got it back on Friday. The suitcase was found by constables - Raja Nayak and Nagaraj - who were conducting checks in the Kachiguda Express. It contained a gold ring, some silver ornaments and Rs 5,500 in cash. The bag was returned to Kamala Devi Kothari, the owner, after necessary verification.
Ten days ago, a railway police official had returned a suitcase full of jewels, cash and sarees to its owner at the Bangalore city Railway Station.
Robbed at gun-point
Two employees of ING Vysya Bank, Chennai, who had come here for training, were robbed by a gang of four at Ulsoor on Thursday.
According to the police, Srihari and his friend Srinivas had hired an autorickshaw on MG Road to go to a movie. En route, the driver stopped the vehicle, where three persons robbed them at gun-point.
Techie’s house burgled
