T V Sai Dinesh’s battling half-century helped Andhra Pradesh score 113 for the loss of one-wicket against hosts Karnataka in the South-zone under-13 cricket tournament at the IAF grounds here on Saturday.
The start of the match was delayed due to wet ground conditions restricting the day’s play to only 33 overs. Andhra apart from Dinesh’s 58 off 102 balls which included nine hit to the fence, P Sri Krishna, who is batting on 39, also contributed to the visitors total.
At JIRS grounds, Kerala, who were 314 for five at stumps, with a brilliant unbeaten double hundred from Sanju Samson (212) who made mince meat of the hapless Hyderabad bowlers. CV Milind took three wickets for Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu were skittled out for 134 against Goa in the other match of day. Vikas Shetty (3-27) and Sharman Vaz (3-27) shared the spoils for Goa by scalping three wickets apiece. S Anirudh Raghavan top scored for Tamil Nadu with 30. In reply, Goa made 84 for three.
