An extravagant man allegedly strangled his wife to death for not giving him money, at Byasandra on Friday night.
Police said, Manjunath, who had married Bhagyamma five years ago, strangled  her.
On Friday night, a quarrel ensued between the husband and wife when Manjunath asked for money. Bhagyamma was against her husband’s lavish spending.
According to the police, the accused lost his cool in the process and allegedly strangled her to death with a wire. The Hebbagodi police later arrested Manjunath.
