Samskrithika saurabhain Mudigere

 “It is the responsibility of the government to protect the rural art forms and artistes,” said Taluk Kannada Shakthi Kendra President Halekote Ramesh.
Speaking after inaugurating ‘Samskrithika saurabha’ in Mudigere taluk, he said the advent of modern music has posed a threat to the rural folk music and artistes. “Rural art forms are vanishing. Kannada and Culture department should identify such art forms and try to preserve it.”
Bidarahalli Gram Panchayat President Manjama also spoke. A student who has written nearly 100 poems was felicitated on the occasion.
Recitation of poem by Ananthapadmanabha Adiga, ‘Thogalugombe mela’ by Devaraj and team was staged on the occasion.
