Karnataka made a steady reply finishing the second day of their three-day clash with Andhra at 113 for two in 40 overs at the IAF ground on Sunday.
Andhra, resuming at their overnight score of 113 for one, went on to pile up 303 all out in 95.1 overs. P Sri Krishna was the top-scorer with 87 while M Surendra Babu contributed 60.
For the hosts Vijay Kumar, G Pawan and Deepak NJ claimed two wickets apiece.
Karnataka’s reply was largely built around D Nischal’s unbeaten 66. The home team is still 193 runs behind visitors’ first innings total.
Elsewhere, Kerala’s Sanju Samson, overnight 212, went on to complete a big double hundred (266) as Kerala scored a mammoth 499 all out in 130.2 overs against Hyderabad.
Undaunted by the mega size of the total, Hyderabad made a strong reply rattling up an impressive 212 for two in 56 overs at close. Anirudh B was batting on 106.
In another match, despite M Shahrukh Khan’s brilliant haul of nine for 93 haul, Goa ran up a big lead scoring 269 all out in 116.5 overs in reply to Tamil Nadu’s first innings total of 134.
