The train coming from Hubli to Bangalore was carrying former prime minister H D Deve Gowda. The activists stopped the train for five minutes and put forth their demand.
They demanded that Kannadigas should be given chances in the Railway department as all these days they hardly got an opportunity to serve in the department. The step-motherly treatment should at least now be stopped and enough opportunities should be given to the Kannadigas. They shouted slogans urging the department not to give chances to the people from outside the State. The office-bearers of the vedike including Jayshanker, Tanujkumar, Mithun Shanker, Ambarish  participated.
