St Joseph’s Indian High School stormed into the final of the under-17 cricket tournament for the Boost Cup with a 160-run win over Presidency School, Nandini Layout at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Monday.
SJIHS wasted little time in bringing an end to Presidency innings in the morning after the latter resumed from their overnight 124 for seven. U Vikas completed a five-wicket haul as Presidency were bundled out for 150 for an innings lead of 122 runs.
L Adarsh again played a cameo, 74 in 49 balls with four fours and five sixes, that helped SJIHS score 190 for five in the stipulated 30 overs. Ashish Dhar gave him firm support with an 87-ball 75.
Faced with an improbable target of scoring 312 runs in 30 overs for an outright win, Presidency could muster 152 for three, with SS Darshan and T Ashwin making unbeaten half-centuries.
In the final, they will face another Presidency School outfit. The RT Nagar team defeated St Joseph’s Boys’ High School by an innings and 39 runs at the NRA ground.
