Chopra bags second title
India-born Swede Daniel Chopra survived some tense moments before tapping in a birdie on the fourth playoff hole to lift his second PGA Tour title at the Mercedes-Benz Championship, reports PTI from Kapalua, USA.
Chopra could have won much earlier but messed up birdie putts twice on the 18th hole to allow American Steve Stricker join him at a 72-hole total of 18-under 274.

Bergqvist calls it a day
Sweden's former high jump world champion Kajsa Bergqvist announced her retirement from international competition, reports Reuters from Stockholm.
"It's a decision that has grown during the autumn," the 31-year-old said.

Gayle out of third Test
Injured West Indies captain Chris Gayle is out of the deciding third Test against South Africa, the touring team said on Monday, reports Reuters from Durban.
Gayle broke his thumb while batting in the second Test in Cape Town, which South Africa won by seven wickets on Saturday to level the series at 1-1.
"Chris is not going to be ready to play. The injury will take two to three weeks to heal properly," West Indies media officer Philip Spooner said.
Gayle led West Indies to their first Test win in South Africa in the opening Test in Port Elizabeth, which was also his first as captain. Spooner said no replacement had been summoned from the Caribbean and Dwayne Bravo would captaincthe side and the playing XI would be named on the morning of the match .

Thej Kumar maintains lead
Top seed Mangalore’s Thej Kumar MS maintained lead with five points after the fifth round in the Mangalore State Open FIDE rated chess championship, reports DHNS from Mangalore.
