Malleswaram Police along with Manjunath, the father who gifted his baby girl to a woman – Channamma from Pavagada – are yet to return to the City.
Meanwhile, police are awaiting DNA profiling results of two infant bodies found in a well on Tumkur-Bangalore highway and another infant which was buried in a vacant site near J P Nagar.
Held for theft
A thief, who used to steal jewellery from wedding halls, has been awarded with three years of simple imprisonment and a penalty of Rs 5,000 by a court.
Police said, Paramesh alias Parmi alias Shashi was arrested by the Kamakshipalya police. He used to pose himself as a relative and used to gain entry into the rooms of the bride and bride groom and steal valuables.
Body found
A body of a man, around 40 years old, was found in bushes near the Forest Department in Hennur on Tuesday. The body bore several injuries on the head. Police suspect that some gang might have attacked the deceased with lethal weapons.
Man ends life
An inebriated man (35) set himself ablaze at his residence in HAL on Monday. The deceased, Venkatesh. was alone at the time of the incident.
Workers killed
Two workers travelling on the top of truck slipped and died when their vehicle collided with a four-wheeler on Mysore-Bangalore highway on Monday. Chandra Kantha (38) and Appuraya (28) were workers in a brick factory.
