According to the notification, faculty ID card issued by DCI and accreditation of dental institutions in the country by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is mandatory.
Faculty cannot be accepted if he/she has been shown more than one inspection in a academic year. The notification  also states that the appointment of faculty in private dental colleges should be made through proper selection committee (as per the University Act of the concerned state).
Biological waste management and infection control measures are mandatory for all dental institutions and in dental practice. All universities in the country have to allow the minimum guidelines as laid down by DCI.
The periodic inspection of the recognised colleges has to be conducted within five years to keep a check on the faculty and maintain standards of dental education.
