Refuting allegations of partiality in the Group-D examination, the South Western Railway has said it has been conducted as per rules.
The Karnataka Rakshana Vedike and other outfits had said the Railways was giving more weightage to candidates from north India, specially those from Bihar.
South Western Railways chief public relations officer B S Dasarathi said the Railway rules never differentiate people on regional grounds as recruitment is conducted on an all-India basis.
“Those appearing for examination are those who are desperately in need of jobs,” he said.
