In an attempt to keep a tab on all its personnel post retirement, the Directorate General Resettlement (DGR) will soon be formulating an on-line data bank on their employment status.
Speaking to reporters after inaugurating a 6 months certificate course on Management for Armed Forces Officers at theIIM-Bangalore, Major General, S G Chatterji, Director General (Resettlement) said that the DGR, which is responsible to look after resettlement and welfare of ex-servicemen, is working on having the on-line data bank. The data will facilitate better monitoring, he added.
Maj Gen Chatterji said, “ The DGR was successful in ensuring that all 60,000 retired personnel were employed last year.”
