A grand procession of goddess Mahalakshmi and bullocks marked the second day of monsoon cultural festival, on Saturday.
 The procession began from Rajendra gunj, in the evening, and passed through main streets of the city.  MLA A Papareddy gave offered pooja to goddess Mahalaksmi and bullocks during the procesion.
Dance troupes from various places performed  in the  procession. Colourful costumes and decorated bullocks attracted the people. Hundreds of people witnessed the procession.
Results of contest
In the second day of rock pulling by bullocks,  MLA A Papareddy's bullocks won first prize of Rs 25 thousand by pulling 2.5 tonn rock up to 1595 feet in 20 minutes.
Andhrapradesh's Ramanadoddi bullocks won second place by pulling up to 1456 feet and winning cash prize of Rs 15 thousand.
 Kurnool Gutti village Koteshwar Rao's bullocks won third prize cash Rs 10 thousand and Vaddepalli village of Mehaboobnagar of Andhrapradesh Bucchi reddy's bullocks pulled rock up to 1226 feet and won cash prize of Rs 5 thousand.
