Sania-Shahar score
London, PTI:

Shrugging off the controversy surrounding their partnership, Sania Mirza and Israeli Shahar Peer displayed a resolute performance to advance to the second round of Wimbledon women’s doubles competition.
Sania and Peer defeated Sofia Arvidsson of Sweden and Lilia Osterloh of the USA 7-5, 6-3 in a late first round encounter on Friday.
In a second round clash scheduled for Saturday, the 16th-seeded Indo-Israeli pair will meet Agnes Szavay of Hungary and Vladimira Uhlirova of the Czech Republic. On Saturday, Sania will also combine with Mahesh Bhupathi to take on David Skoch of the Czech Republic and Janette Husarova of Slovakia in a first round mixed doubles match, which was originally scheduled to be held on Friday.
