One man, many tunes
Suraj Jose & Jenin Raj
S J Prasanna, well known as "one man show prasanna" to Bangaloreans, is getting geared up to take his next challenge of performing four instruments at the same time which he has been practising for long.

Born and brought up in Bangalore, this Kannadiga was a  former student of St Joseph’s and holds a degree in electronics.
He quit his professional life to do something different and bring out that uniqueness in him. He has been working hard for the past 20 years and he has achieved something to be proud of. Today he plays various instruments like the saxophone, piano, guitar, harmonium, mandolin, keyboard, accordion, clarinet, melodian and soprano.
Prasanna has successfully performed around 500 shows till today, many in Bangalore and also throughout the country. He also performs for various clubs, organisations, anniversaries and parties throughout India.
He won the Aryabhata Award in 2006 and the Jayaprakash Narayan Rashtriya Ratna Award in 2007 for his achievement in music.
He has also been a judge along with the legendary singer S P Balasubramaniam for the top music contest Ede Tumbi Haaduvenu on ETV Kannada channel.
Prasanna has been doing a great job of not only entertaining people, but also inspiring them as to what a person can do with hard-work, patience, sacrifice and perseverance.
When he performs he goes around the stage, so that the audience can get a glimpse of those rarely used or seen instruments. He has also started the school of instrumental music called Veena School of Instrumental Music at his residence and he has many students learning to play the instruments.
Recognition
His unique feats on musical instruments drew the attention of a team from Suzuki Musicals from Japan who not only paid a visit to his place and were entertain by his skills, but also presented him with lots of their instruments as a token of appreciation.
Prasanna is looking ahead to perform in Germany and France too. He is constantly practising with his instruments so that he could come up with something new or challenging  and prove his uniqueness.
