Most of the rural roads in the taluk will be asphalted and connected to the National Highway, said MLA K Shrinivas gowda.
He was speaking after performing the ground breaking ceremony of the road which passes through Holur, Bennaguru, Chilapanahalli, Annihalli, Matthikunte and connects to Kolar, at an estimated cost of Rs 1.38 crores under NABARD scheme at Chilapanahalli on ON Sunday.
The scheme under NABARD will be completed within eight months which will benefit people from Holur, Matthikunte, Yaldur, Lakhsmisagar and other places which takes less time and low expense too, he added.
The road works will be connected to the national highway after the completion of works, he said.
He also said that he would work for the development of villages and help to provide all the basic facilities such as drinking water, roads, transportation, cleanliness, water and other basic amenities.
Zilla Panchayat member Gowramma, Taluk panchayat member N G Byatappa, taluk panchatyat deputy president Munishyamappa, Zilla Panchayat former member S B Munivenkatappa, president of gram panchayat Ramakka, assistant executive engineer of Public works department Shankarappa, contractor Baburao, Senior assistant executive engineer of Information and department C M Ranga Reddy, Kondala Shriramappa, Ganjur Venkata Reddy, G Siddappa, and others were present.
