VBC Mandya routed Omega Hassan 65-33 in the State ‘C’ Division basketball league championship at the Sree Kanteerava stadium here on Thursday.
Santhosh led the charge for VBC with 20 points and Reckey accounted for 12 points.
At the half-way stage, the two teams were separated by just eight points, with the score reading 27-19 in favour of VBC.
But the Mandya side pushed the accelerator to extend their lead in the last two quarters and closed the game commanding winners. Bharath Raj was the top-scorer for Omega with 16 points.
