Miscreants broke into a house at Muslim Mohalla at Shiroor village and decamped with gold jewellery worth Rs 1 lakh.

According to the police, the miscreants broke into the house, belonging to P Mohammed Farooq, by breaking open the door and burgled jewellery worth Rs 80,000 and Rs 1 lakh in cash.

As soon as the police learnt about the case, a dog squad was pressed into service. Banindoor Police Inspector Antony John has registered a case. Three teams have been formed. Further investigations are on.
