Art has been my solace and strength filling up my quiet moments,” says artist Tina Prabhu, who will soon be showcasing her new paintings in the City. Titled Awakening, Tina’s paintings is based on diverse themes from imaginative forms verging on the bizarre, life situations to human relationships and natural forms.
With a forte in spontaneous expression of inner self, Tina’s new work as a tribute of love to her husband and children, is a reflection of her voyage through life and it’s stimulating challenges. She has used mixed media, acrylic on paper and collages in a vibrant colour palette with great attention to detail.
“My paintings spring from the very foundation of line and design. It’s an expression perhaps of my inner self that allows hand and pencil to flow, unleashing itself on paper and then reaching fulfilment through colour,” says the gold medalist in textile design.
Tina’s art works will be on display from July 18 to 24 between 11 am and 8 pm. The exhibition has been organised at the Abstract Art Gallery, No 8, Cunningham Road, Next to Westminister, Behind Svisti, Bangalore. Call 41235444.
