Mothilal, businessman: The promises made in the Master Plan cannot be fulfilled.  I cannot understand is meant by development as the main focus is  on industrial activities. At the same time the role of agriculture is being neglected.  Today the agricultural lands are missing from the outskirts of the City.  There is no need to wait till 2015. Within two or three years Bangalore is going to become polluted and worse than Bombay.

Veena Thimmaya, owns software company:  I’m hopeful of the progress the Bangalore Development Authority is making. The population of the City is growing daily and for this reason I think this kind of development is necessary. I find Bangalore to be a very happening city. I hope and pray that by 2015 Bangalore will still remain a happening city if not better than what it is now.

Arun, software engineer: Actually I am not sure about whether they can  fulfil their promises made in the Master Plan. They say that they are going to implement the Master Plan now in the hope of completing them by 2015, but I think that they will only start by 2015. Bangalore is known for its IT industry. The only chance this City has to prosper will be with the help of the IT industry.

Santhoshi,  CA: I’m not sure if the BDA can keep up  their promises of the Metro and development of core areas. It all depends on the Government, doesn’t it? Anything can happen with  the political influence that authorities face. I’m not sure about the new airport becoming a reality early. Also not sure if the  new flyovers being built  is  a good idea. But Bangalore will continue to be a commercial hub.
