White painting on speed-breaker

We had carried a report  some weeks ago on a problematic speed-breaker in front of the Sai Baba temple causing many accidents at Sai Baba Mandir Road.

The speed-breaker has now been painted in white so that night riders  are cautioned. In addition, the misleading board saying `Humps ahead’ placed after the speed-breaker (a photo of which we had carried) has also been removed following our report. Reflector cat-eyes will be also be installed shortly, said a top traffic official.

Stable barricade
Metrolife had also carried a photograph a week ago about a faulty barricade erected inside the City railway station. The purpose of it was to indicate the presence of a drain flowing in front of a road in front of the  parking stand for autos.

Pedestrians were found stumbling on the barricade as it lay sprawled along the ground. It became a problem by itself instead of being a warning board.

The problematic barricade has been done away with now and it has been replaced by one that  has  both its legs intact and   stands firmly on the ground.
