Repeated attempts to contact Haneef’s wife Firdaus Arshiya yielded no result and neither did her family attend any phone calls nor did they answer the door.
At Frazer Town, Haneef’s mother and brother too stopped answering phone calls, with  the chances of any contact with Haneef from Australia turning bleak.
Haneef’s family has also locked themselves inside.
Sources said Firdaus and her parents may leave for New Delhi to meet President APJ Abdul Kalam, Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi and appeal to them to take initiatives for Haneef’s release.
