In a testimony of true love, as it were, an ex-serviceman has buried his dead wife in the kitchen of their house and been bemoaning her death for the last 19 years, at Panangulam in Nanguneri in Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu.
According to police, the ex-serviceman Selvaraj cooks and offers food to his dead wife buried next to the oven in the kitchen.
When his wife died of breast cancer in 1988, Selvaraj had stopped the villagers and their relatives from taking the corpse to the burial ground. Unable to accept his wife’s death, he had created a ruckus in the hospital.
